Support our LGBTQ+ Book Drive!!!!

The Book Truck is partnering with Bookworm Global in order to put LGBTQ+ books into the hands of underserved teens in our community!!

Why we should continue to make sure LGBTQ+ stories are being told in our community:

• LGBTQ+ books are currently being banned in a variety of places across the US. 
• 10% of California’s students in public middle and high schools identify as LGBTQ+.
• LGBTQ+ youth in CA reported higher rates of victimization in the form of verbal and physical harassment and abuse compared to non-LGBTQ youth. 
• LGBTQ+ youth in CA were 4 times more likely to experience depressive symptoms compared to non-LGBTQ youth.

Help us continue to serve LGBTQ+ adolescents in our community as well as promote a multitude of important LGBTQ+ stories.
